[Translate to English:] Papierfabrik Koehler Kehl

Our Industry 4.0 solution for Koehler:

  • PROFINET across the entire field level
  • Siemens PCS 7 control technology in a virtual environment
  • Horizontal integration from goods receiving to the paper machine
  • PCS 7-compliant interfaces to the MES recipe system
  • Individual equipment modules according to ISA88 and Siemens standard

"The important thing is not to predict the future, but to be prepared for the future" (Pericles).

With our Industry 4.0 solution, we were able to successfully prepare Koehler for the future.

Technologies used

Specifically, the specialists at KRIKO developed new PCS 7 modules for communication with the recipe system and equipment modules for functions such as dosing, stirring and heating for this project. To enable easy maintenance of these individual program modules in the future, they were developed using Siemens standard tools and SIPAPER APL as a module library.

The scope of delivery also included the creation of the circuit diagrams, the control and drive cabinets with 60 speed-controlled drives with outputs from 1.5 kW to 300 kW and safety functions with Siemens S7 F-Systems.

By implementing this Industry 4.0 solution, KRIKO has successfully prepared Koehler for the challenges ahead and taken an important step towards future viability.
