Flexible in an explosive atmosphere

Stahl Chemicals Germany GmbH is a leader in the development, production and application of process chemicals for leather products. A new reaction line for acrylate dispersions was built at the Leinfelden-Echterdingen site to expand production capacity.

The KRIKO solution

In order to increase the level of automation at Stahl Chemicals GmbH's plants, Stahl brought KRIKO Engineering GmbH on board as a competent project partner for the complete handling of the electrical and automation technology. The SIMATIC PCS 7 BATCH recipe system was chosen because it meets the complex and modular manufacturing requirements.

As a project partner, KRIKO not only took care of the software, but also supported the customer in all matters relating to design, planning and implementation. KRIKO supplied the complete control cabinets and field devices and was responsible for the electrical installation. KRIKO was also responsible for the design and validation of the safety and explosion measurement and control circuits.

The KRIKO project team completed this task with flying colors despite the very tight time frame, and the first approach already led to a sellable production. We would like to thank Stahl Chemicals Germany GmbH for their trust and excellent cooperation and look forward to further projects.
