The KrikoVis standard library provides modular software modules across all systems. This results in a uniform operating concept for operating panels, single-user systems and SCADA solutions. The library combines the experience of over 30 years of system integration in automation technology.

Efficient engineering

A high degree of automation in project planning saves time and money. The KrikoVis import generator creates fully automated imports for variables, text lists and messages for the supported HMI applications from an MSR list previously filled out in Excel. In addition to a significantly shorter project planning time, the error rate during project planning is reduced. This leads to more efficient testing and commissioning phases. A positive side effect is that no parallel I&C documentation needs to be maintained, as all necessary HMI objects are generated from the I&C list as a permanent reference for a system. All KRIKO project managers are familiar with KrikoVis, which makes it much easier to work on joint software projects and project handovers.

Ongoing development

The KrikoVis library is subject to an ongoing development process and is constantly being improved on the basis of project experience. As the latest Siemens SIMATIC S7 controller generation means that the memory organization is about to change, two versions of the library are currently being maintained:

  • One version with absolute memory addressing (continued compatibility with Siemens SIMATIC S7-300 and S7-400 CPUs)
  • A second version with consistent, fully symbolic addressing technology (enables maximum CPU performance, the use of software units in the Siemens SIMATIC TIA Portal and, in future, Siemens SIMATIC WinCC Unified)
